Lt Col Earl was born in Royal Oak, Michigan and served in the Michigan Air National Guard from January 1990 to March 2003, and June 2010 to July 2023. Lt Col Earl’s service included flying the F-16, the C-130, and was an Aircraft Maintenance Commander at Selfridge Air National Guard Base. He also served in an Air Operations Center, Combat Operations Squadron at Battle Creek Air National Guard Base where he worked as Chief of Combat Operations before retiring as the Director of Operations. Some of Lt Col Earl’s awards include the Air Force Meritorious Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, NATO Medal, and Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary and Service Medals.
Mark’s civilian career included time as a pilot at American Airlines, and as a test pilot for Eclipse Aviation. Now retired, Lt Col Earl resides in SE Michigan. He enjoys over-landing, boating and spending time with his son and daughter who are both serving in the Michigan Air National Guard.
