Born in Holland, Michigan, Brian served in the Michigan Air National Guard from December 1988 to May 2001 and then from July 2015 until his retirement in January 2025.  His service included nearly 12 years as an A-10 Attack Pilot for the 172nd Fighter Squadron, Battle Creek ANGB, MI which included two NATO support operations in Bosnia and one in Thailand.  His USAF career then culminated as the Chief of Combat Operations and Assistant Director of Operations for the 217th Combat Operations Squadron, Battle Creek, ANGB, MI.

In addition to his military service, Brian’s civilian career has over 30 years of business and professional aviation experience where he was a Captain for Ford Motor Company for nearly 15 years.  In 2009, he  joined the business jet sales force at Aerodynamics, Inc. (ADI).  Brian assumed additional responsibilities where his business acumen and entrepreneurial drive eventually led him to be named the Director of Business Development for ADI - responsible for the guidance and expansion of ADI's entire sales force and structured program procurement.  In 2015, Brian was hired as the Chief Pilot for General Motors Corporation managed flight operations, where he served in that role for nearly 3 years before moving onto his current position as a flight officer for UPS.

Brian is a Western Michigan University graduate.  He and his wife have three grown sons, two fly the A-10 in the Michigan Air National Guard and one is a graduate of the USMA class ‘22.  While residing in Michigan, in his free time Brian enjoys hunting, fishing, golf and wood working.
