In January 2026, VetTek had the privilege of traveling to Massachusetts to present Sgt. Philip McKay with a top of the line prosthetic, at no cost to him. Mr. McKay served the Holyoke Police Department for nearly 32 years, retiring in 2025. In 2021, Mr. McKay suffered an off-duty injury to his left foot and ankle, eventually leading to an amputation.
His original prosthesis was now limiting him, and his team knew he would benefit from a hydraulic foot and ankle that allowed him to return to his hobbies of working in his yard, going for walks, and photography. McKay was hesitant to upgrade his prosthetic due to the out-of-pocket expenses, which is where VetTek stepped in.

Mr. McKay stated, "The financial assistance provided by VetTek was truly a blessing and I can't thank them enough. In my line of work you often feel unappreciated, so to be a recipient of VetTek’s assistance was truly special."

VetTek is honored to assist in transforming challenges into triumphs.Â
VetTek would like to send a heartfelt "Thank You" to our donors. With your support, VetTek is able to assist men and women like Mr. McKay.
